Great video RJ I was just wondering this myself. 🤔 Im currently 8/24 & have been gardening since January. Its tough because i will need at least 1 more no FTF card for a europe trip this year, but on the fence. Im trying to stick with business cards

I can confirm because about a month ago I had a double cash and I product changed to a second custom cash. I’m thinking I’m either going to do groceries and gas or groceries and dining or use them both for groceries

They definitely need correct the 5 transactions issue and implement a minimum spend requirement of at least in the range of $100.00-$250.00 or so in order to receive your rent points. They also need to continue to expand on the tier elite status program to give people more of a reason to spend on the card. The benefits of being Silver, Gold, or a Platinum member isn't all that compelling right now. Lastly, they just need to advertise the card better to the public. I don't know anyone outside of avid CC users who even has a clue about the card so naturally, Bilt is being exploited mostly from CC enthusiasts who are focused on maximization of benefits and those folks aren't likely going to carry a balance.

I’m still under 5/24i currently have the BIU, BIP and the CFU. Other 3 cards is Discover It, NFMR and Apple Card.. 2 cards have fallen off so I think I’m currently at 2/24. Want to get the USBank Business card but I should probably go for the personal before going for the business. I’m about to open a US Bank business account. Something I should’ve done 2 months ago. I’d be in good position to go for a card in another month

This was like my 3rd credit card when it first came out. Right now I use it for random utilities which gives me 3% on those and I use the cash back for the automatic crypto conversion. Good early game card for people especially if they use venmo. It gets harder to use as you pick up better cards but with no annual fee I like keeping it around.

The biggest problem with Bilt is customer service. Wells Fargo can be reached by phone but bilt can't. So if you have an issue with your rent payment you can't reach a human being. I have had multiple issues and this is really frustrating.

I think i will try and grab up the hyatt personal and a chase ink cash next year when under 5/24. Think I will limit my loyalty to Marriot and Hyatt for now; so I don't have to worry about 5/24 in 2025. Will try my luck at BoFa and atleast 1 US bank card.

I would cut the rent rewards down to 0.5X, and have it earn up to 1.25X with BILT status.

I don't think that Wells Fargo can get the same transfer partners as Bilt. Bilt went to most of those programs as a rewards program and then later came out with a credit card. This was how they were able to bypass all the exclusivity deals that I imagine United and Hyatt have with Chase. The best partners that Wells can probably get are what Captial One has.

This is the most insightful video I’ve seen on the subject, good to hear from someone with a banking perspective. There has to be a massive inequality of weight in bargaining here in favor of WF, much as I am normally a fan of the WSJ, this feels like a negotiation tactic.

This month I picked up the Barclays Wyndham Earner Plus 100k, Moving me from 1/24 to 2/24. It was a big Deal to pick a card that would take a slot and really appreciate your take/view. Being I was schedule to be 0/24 this November wanted to get card before I fall to 0/24 To help stagger the dates etc. you had a video in the past on that subject too that was great.

Personally, when I'm not using my BILT card it's because I'm earning a welcome bonus by processing rent thru Plastiq. The past 5 months the culprit has been an AMX Platinum upgrade bonus.

I agree that WF is losing out on opportunities and missing some pieces with the BILT partnership. The major piece is not allowing mortgage payments with BILT. Just allowing rent is narrowing down potential acquisitions. They should allow it for customers who originate a loan through WF. It’s a win for both BILT and WF if they allowed the mortgage payment process. I’ll die on that hill on and no one convince me otherwise on that business strategy should be implemented. In the short term, increasing the amount swipes required to 15 seems like the most feasible to the renegotiation. If they really wanted to spice things up, they’d add a second rent day on the 15th if you reached double the swipes. Then WF will get 30+ swipes incentivized. Those are not finite numbers but they (BILT/WF) can make this into so much more or allowing WF cards to go through the BILT ecosystem. “As always” great video RJ

Verizon just did a refresher on this card happening around August or October 2024. Just got an email regarding new multipliers refresher categories . I think its going to give Amex Gold a run for its money!

Recently burned a 5/24 slot for the USBAR because it’s so hard to qualify for and I happened to qualify for it at the time.

6/24. Burned a slot citi and cs plat. Had an emergency and need to cash out mr points. Amex NLL offers are always out there so no need to worry too much about points. Might go for that 5 percent back cash setup tbh.

If I want a card I don’t lose sleep over a Chase slot I’ve been laughing my ass off every new card I get approved for all while Chase kicks the 5/24 can down the road. I’ve actually surprised myself and haven’t looked back since, Chase cards are nice but imo they’re the Ford or Chevrolet of credit cards everyone has them.

Currently at 5/24 won’t be under until July. I will be 3/24 by November. I promised myself I would not apply for any cards this year because I wanted my credit age to season a bit and inquiries to fall off. It’s not easy, but worth the wait. Got my eyes on Ink Cash and CSP to complete my Chase ‘ trifecta next year since I have some big expenses for 2025.

Chase mentioned that I am approved for the ink cash business, what does that mean? I didn't apply for it.
